Former player Gabriel Agbonlahor has notable comments around the Portuguese star.
In the opinion of Gabriel Agbonlahor, Cristiano Ronaldo is the reason why Marcus Rashford, Mason Greenwood and Jadon Sancho don’t dare to express themselves on the pitch. Talking to Football Insider, the former Premier League striker shared:

“It seems Ronaldo is only interested in his goals.”

“Ronaldo’s performance throughout the game was like a sulk. He raised his hand to the sky because there was no chance. Then after the game, he walked off the pitch with a sulky look.”

“Ronaldo’s attitude is not right. If I were Rashford, Greenwood and Sancho, I would be scared to take a shot. Every time they have a shot, Ronaldo would raise his hand to say ‘Why not. pass it to me?'”

“Rashford and Greenwood’s form has dropped since Ronaldo. They can’t show their ability, it’s like they think ‘I have to pass to Ronaldo, I have to give Ronaldo a chance.'”

“If I were Rashford, Greenwood or Sancho, I would say to myself, ‘Oh, why should we bring him here?'”.

“Ronaldo is a class player who has had a great career. But, he is no longer a player similar to his past self.”

“Man United played their best football of the season against Chelsea, with Ronaldo on the bench.”
