As is known, Roman Abramovich has transferred the management of The Blues Chelsea Charity Foundation. The home page of the European champions quotes the Russian billionaire: “I always make decisions based on the best interests of the club. I remain committed to these values.

That is why today I am entrusting the trustees of the Chelsea Charity to manage and run Chelsea FC. I believe they are currently in the best position to look after the interests of the club, the players, the staff and the fans.”

 Neville criticized the Chelsea boss.

Abramovich’s move is to protect the London club. However, Gary Neville recently said: “One of the smartest things I think Roman Abramovich has done in the last 20 years is not to speak, not to make a statement. Because his recent statement left more questions than answers.

To be fair, I think it is a cowardly solution [transfer of management], when it is clear that he is running the club with Marina [Granovskaia – Club Director] and [Technical Director] Petr Cech.

There’s no way the Chelsea Foundation is running the club and it’s not clear to me why Roman Abramovich made that statement. If he wants to make any statement, it’s whether he supports the war in Ukraine or doesn’t support the war in Ukraine.”
