Piers Morgan has criticized Arsenal and Mikel Arteta for letting Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang join Barcelona on a free transfer.

Arteta talks about the absence of Aubameyang

Piers Morgan took to social media to criticize Arsenal after Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored his first brace in a Barca shirt, in a 4-1 win over Valencia last night.

Aubameyang scored, Arteta was immediately criticized.

Accordingly, Aubameyang scored the opening goal from Jordi Alba’s assist in the 23rd minute and 15 minutes later, he continued to shoot. VAR was involved in that situation but the referees determined Aubameyang’s goal was valid.

This is the steely response of the former Arsenal captain after what happened at the Emirates Stadium.

Piers Morgan, longtime Arsenal fan wrote on Twitter at the time of Aubameyang’s departure: “What a shameful decision by Arteta. What a disgusting way to treat a man – with all the knowledge and giving club permission – to help his sick mother.”

Last night, Morgan once again voiced dissatisfaction with Arsenal’s decision after the striker scored twice for Barca.

“Emotional by @Auba,” Morgan wrote on Twitter. “Angry at @m8arteta for letting him do this elsewhere. What a horrible, TERRIBLE decision.”

Morgan’s admiration for Aubameyang is no secret, as he described the player as “one of the best strikers Arsenal have ever had” on The Sun.

He wrote: “Mikel Arteta took great pleasure in publicly humiliating our best and highest-paid player, behaving like a particularly smug and shrewd principal when punishing a naughty schoolboy. for reasons that have never been fully explained – but what’s the benefit to the team here?”
